Presently, we cater to over 77,000 drivers, facilitating access to over 4,500 charging points across both Ireland and Northern Ireland. With a monthly addition of 2,000 new users, our network continues to expand. Our versatile EV charging solutions cater to diverse environments, including Destination, Fleet, Forecourt, Hospitality, Public Sector, Retail, Shared Living, and Workplace settings.
A recent announcement unveiled a substantial €30 million investment from Aviva Investors, the global asset management arm of Aviva plc. This injection of funds is set to directly pave the way for the creation of up to 60 job opportunities spanning operations, customer support, and sales.
As a result of this, We are seeking a Public Sector Sales Manager.
Job Overview:
The Sales Manager will spearhead the government-focused initiative to promote and expand electrical vehicle (EV) infrastructure across Ireland. This role involves developing and executing strategic sales plans, fostering relationships with government agencies, and ensuring the successful deployment and integration of EV infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of government operations, and a passion for sustainable transportation solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Strategic Planning and Execution:
• Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to promote EV infrastructure projects to government entities.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the government sector.
• Set and achieve sales targets and objectives.
• Government Relations:
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key government officials, agencies, and stakeholders.
• Understand and navigate government procurement processes and policies.
• Represent the company at government meetings, industry conferences, and public events.
• Project Management:
• Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of EV infrastructure projects.
• Coordinate with internal teams (engineering, marketing, finance) to ensure project alignment with government requirements.
• Monitor project progress and address any issues or delays promptly.
• Sales and Business Development:
• Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities in the EV infrastructure sector.
• Prepare and present compelling proposals and presentations to government clients.
• Negotiate contracts and agreements with government bodies.
• Reporting and Analysis:
• Provide regular updates and reports on sales activities, pipeline status, and project progress.
• Analyse sales data to inform strategy and decision-making.
• Prepare budget forecasts and manage project budgets.
Experience:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales or business development, with a focus on government projects or infrastructure.
• Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale projects and achieving sales targets.
• Experience in the EV or renewable energy sector is highly desirable.
Skills:
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Strong understanding of government operations, procurement processes, and policy environment.
• Project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
