EasyGo is Ireland’s largest eMSP network (eMobility Services Provider). We have over 20,000 Irish EV drivers that are subscribers and can access all of these chargers.
PrePay Subscription
EasyGo currently offers two types of contracts to individual EV Drivers. There are no subscription costs involved in either of our contracts. You will be automatically subscribed to a prepay account upon registration. This contract consists of purchasing pre-paid credit that you can use on any Circle K, EasyGo, or ESB charger. You will also be given the option to purchase an EasyGo access fob for €6 at registration. The EasyGo fob is highly recommended and can be used to easily start/stop charging sessions without the need for the mobile application. The cost of each charging session will then be automatically deducted from your EasyGo balance.
Pay As You Go Option
Our Pay As You Go option is for EV Drivers who wish to make a once off transaction via the EasyGo app. Using this option, you will have to pay for each charging session using a debit/credit card. If you intend to charge more than once, we recommend using our prepay subscription. Please call us on 01 254 4456 if you would like to switch contracts.

Common Questions About Using the EasyGo Network
With new technologies there is always going to be a few head scratching moments. We are here to help. Have a browse through some of the most common questions we receive about charging on our network.
What if there is a problem with the Charge Point?
Is the charger an EasyGo charger? If yes, contact details are provided below in the footer of this website. If you are using a non-EasyGo charger please make sure you have the minimum amount of funds on your account for roaming. The amount is €10 for AC chargers and €17 for DC chargers.
If you are using a non-EasyGo charger with an EasyGo account you are accessing through the roaming network. This means it can take a few seconds for an account to be granted access to a charger, especially when using the charger for the first time. Accessing through the mobile app can take longer than using a key fob. Please be patient and as long as you have enough funds in your wallet and the charger’s connector is shown as available on the app, you will be granted access.
Do I need to subscribe to use the EasyGo Network and if so, how can I?
Yes, you will need to subscribe to either a prepay or pay as you go subscription. You can begin your registration using either of the below links:
I have pressed stop to end the charging session on the EasyGo app, but nothing appears to be happening
If or when this should occur, please be patient and allow a few seconds for the session to end.
What if I am trying to use a non-EasyGo charger and it won't let me charge or gain access?
When accessing non-EasyGo chargers, please make sure you have a minimum amount of funds in your account of €10 for AC chargers and €17 for DC chargers. This may change or vary depending on the company running the charger.
How can I add funds to my account?
Using the EasyGo app, you can add funds, go to the sidemenu and then to ‘My Wallet’ and from there you can view your current balance
To add more funds tap on ‘Deposit funds’. Then in the new menu select the amount of funds you wish to deposit and then press on ‘Deposit’ again.

How fast does my car charge at EasyGo Charge Points?
EasyGo currently offers a wide range of AC and DC public chargers. At AC powered stations, a full charge can take anywhere from 2-6 hours, depending on the car model and range. At DC powered stations, a charge of 80% can be achieved in as little as 25 minutes. You can expect to see a significant decrease in charging once your battery hits 80%. This is to prolong the life of a battery.
The rate of charging also depends upon several factors outside the control of the charger. For example, some models of EVs are incapable of receiving the full kW output that is available from the charge point. Ambient temperatures may also affect the rate of charging. If the battery is too hot/cold, the EVs battery management system will adjust the rate of charging to protect the cells of the battery.
Do the charges include parking?
Typically, parking will be free for a certain length of time. You can view pricing information for individual charge points from within the mobile application. To view this, please select a charge point and then read the ‘Access Instructions’.
Parking costs will vary and are set by the management of each car park. Some charge points may have completely free parking but based on user feedback, we will be implementing overstay penalties to ensure the charge point is made available for the next user.
How much does it cost to charge?
EasyGo offers a range of free to use and pay for use chargers. To view pricing information, please login to your EasyGo account and select a charger. Once a charger is selected, the pricing information will be displayed. Our prices vary significantly as not all chargers are owned by EasyGo. Make sure to view pricing information before initiating a session. For EasyGo stations, pricing information can be seen below:
• EasyGo AC Chargers = €0.24c access fee and a rate of €0.10c – €0.35c per kWh, plus 13.5% VAT.
• EasyGo DC Chargers = €0.24c access fee and a rate of €0.35c per kWh, plus 13.5% VAT.
One thing to be aware of with some non-EasyGo chargers is overstay penalties, which typically are incurred ever 45 minutes.
What is the minimum amount of funds I need to charge on a none-EasyGo charger?
For PrePay users when using an EasyGo account, to first charge on a charger using the roaming network, be it IONITY or ESB, you must first have in your wallet a minimum amount of funds of €10 for AC chargers and €17 for DC chargers. The fees and access settings are set by the company managing the charger.
What cables can be used on the EasyGo Network?
All AC charge points have Type 2 sockets. This is the European standard. EV Drivers must have their own Type 2 male charging cable for the side connected to the charging station and depending on their car, the corresponding female plug.
• Type 2 examples: BMW, Mercedes, Volkswagen, Porsche, SMART, Renault ZOE etc
• Type 1 examples: NISSAN, Peugeot, Citroen Mitsubishi, etc.
Our DC charge points offer two connector types: DC CHAdeMO, or DC CCS.
• DC CHAdeMO: This connector can be used to charge Nissan Leaf and Mitsubishi vehicles.
• DC CCS: This connector can be used to charge most other vehicles.

Where are the EasyGo charging stations located?
Our EV chargers are typically positioned at locations such as forecourts, retail businesses, shopping centres, hotels, motorway service areas, etc.

How do I order an EasyGo Key Fob for turning on and off a charge point?
At registration, you will be asked whether you would like to receive an RFID card for €6. Please tick this box and ensure the address you enter is correct. Your request will then be processed, and the key fob will arrive within 10 working days.
When registering, if you forgot to request a key fob or changed your mind and wish for one to be posted out to you, please create a ticket in the app by going to ‘Helpdesk’ and then ‘Tickets’. Press on the plus icon in the bottom right corner, then in the dropdown menu ‘Helpdesk category’ choose ‘Request new RFID card’ and in the menu below select ‘Pay €6 for an RFID card?’ and then press ‘Send’.
