Projects Manager

As Ireland plans to meet the electric vehicle targets for 2030, the electric vehicle network infrastructure will be crucial to provide sufficient charging for future vehicles.

To assist with this demand, we have a vacancy for the role of Project Manager. The role is predominately working within our commercial department working with our Sales and Installations Team on EV Charging installation projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Meeting with and understanding what the client wants to achieve.
  • Surveying and defining the technical requirements of the project to offer quotation.
  • Outlining timescales, costs & resources needed to deliver project.
  • Preparing tenders.
  • Negotiating with client, engineers, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Assign resource for projects.
  • Appoint and manage sub-contractors for project duration.
  • Overseeing several aspects of a project at the same time.
  • Liaising with operations, warehouse, and sales team on project progress.
  • Ensuring each stage of project happens on time, on budget and to ahigh standard.
  • Updating regular progress reports with the client and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure the work follows health & safety guidelines and suggest improvements when in health & safety procedures.
  • Tools box talks.
  • Attend weekly meetings internally and on-site.
  • Maintain communication with client and office for project duration.
  • Ensure sign off and commission of project ensuring that’s meets initial customers expectation in readiness for invoicing.
  • Complete all electrical certification and commissioning.
  • Resolve any issues or delays.
  • Working onsite and in the office.
  • Produce project close-out report.
  • Ensure project sign off from sub-contractor to include all paperwork and certification.

 

Skills:

 

  • Electrical background, ideally a Qualified Electrician or holding an Electrical Engineering Degree.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to present findings.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills across all levels of the business
  • Strong work ethic and team player abilities
  • Self-starter and self-motivated with a proven ability to work on own initiative.
  • Adept at multitasking and co-ordinating multiple projects at the same time.
  • Strong detail-oriented work style, and an accommodating and proactive attitude
  • Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office and MS Project
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work well under strict deadlines essential.
  • Excellent Document Control
  • Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Computer literate with proficiency in Excel & Word.
  • Strong emphasis on providing exceptional customer service.

 

Requirements

 

  • Full clean driving license
  • A relevant third level degree and/or an electrical background.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Experience in a mechanical & electrical contracting environment essential
