Job Description 

As an ISO Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with ISO (International Organisation for Standardisation) standards within the organisation. Your primary objective will be to coordinate all activities related to the implementation, maintenance, and improvement of ISO standards across various departments.

Key Responsibilities

ISO Implementation

Lead the implementation process of ISO standards within the organisation. This includes understanding the requirements of relevant ISO standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO45001, ISO 27001), interpreting them for applicability to the organisation, and devising strategies for compliance.

Documentation Management

Oversee the development, review, and maintenance of all documentation required for ISO certification. Ensure that documents such as quality manuals, procedures, work instructions, and forms are up-to-date and in compliance with ISO standards.

Training and Awareness

Conduct training sessions to educate employees about ISO standards, their importance, and their role in compliance. Foster a culture of awareness and commitment to ISO requirements throughout the organisation.

Internal Audits

Plan and execute internal audits to assess the organisation’s compliance with ISO standards. Identify areas for improvement and work with relevant stakeholders to implement corrective actions.

External Audits

Serve as the primary point of contact during external audits conducted by certification bodies. Coordinate audit schedules, provide necessary documentation and information, and facilitate audit processes to ensure successful certification/re-certification.

Continuous Improvement

Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to ISO compliance. Analyse audit findings, non-conformities, and feedback from stakeholders to identify opportunities for enhancing processes and systems.

Risk Management

Collaborate with relevant departments to identify and mitigate risks associated with non-compliance to ISO standards. Develop risk assessment frameworks and monitor risk mitigation measures.

Communication and Reporting

Communicate updates, changes, and achievements related to ISO compliance to all levels of the organisation. Prepare periodic reports on ISO performance metrics, audit results, and improvement initiatives for management review.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Quality Management, Business Administration, Engineering).
  • Certification in ISO standards (e.g., Lead Auditor, ISO 9001:2015 Internal Auditor) preferred.
  • Proven experience in implementing and maintaining ISO standards within an organisation.
  • Strong understanding of ISO requirements and quality management principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify problems and propose effective solutions.
  • Proficiency in documentation management and audit processes.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and levels of the organisation.
  • Experience with risk management and continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
